Why I make this
The stories are still mine.
Novara Vale is where my poems, half-finished songs and weird little notes finally become music.
I've been writing lyrics and poems for years. Some were written before work. Some after the kids went to sleep. Some in the ute. A lot of them were just sitting there doing nothing.
I'm a builder, a husband, a dad of two and I run businesses. I don't have months to disappear into a studio whenever a song idea shows up. So this became the way I actually get the words out.
I'm not pretending I'm making records like it was 1978. Music has always changed. Guitars, synths, drum machines, home studios, laptops. People complain, then they get used to it. The bit that matters to me is whether the song feels honest.
The tools can change. The stories are still mine.
How the songs are made
The words start with me. The idea starts with me. I shape the feel, the story, the world around it, and what finally gets released. Some tracks are built fast because that's how life is right now. Over time I want more guitarists, singers and musicians in the room too. I'm not trying to cut people out. I'm trying to finally let these songs out.

- The sound has to serve the lyric.
- More real players and voices will be part of this as it grows.
